WHAT ARE YOU STARTING?
Here Now Next is a four-month program dedicated to helping you find, create or solidify your thing. This may be a design or art project, a business idea, a political stance or a project that you would like to cultivate or explore in depth. Through the program, you will make your heartfelt dream, vision, idea, or passion tangible in the world. The focus is equal parts vision and action.
A lot of women have something they want to bring to life or put in motion. It could be:
- starting a business
- writing a book
- beginning the kind of relationship you want
- gaining more confidence
- getting funding for a new project
- making any big decision
- changing jobs – or changing industries
- diving into politics
- addressing your financial situation
Step up and acknowledge your role – in your relationships, as a woman in your professional field, in all aspects of your life. This program is for women who know they want more and haven’t been able to put their fingers on it. We will help you identify what it is, and then get to work on it, step-by-step.
This is an opportunity for you to do that – with inspiration, support, and research-supported ideas and methods that work.
Focus of the Program
This program is both process-oriented and results-driven. This program will help you get into a learning mindset and stop being self-conscious about your performance. You’ll achieve the results you want when you focus on the actions you can take here & now & next. You’ll get better at responding flexibly, and not getting get so worked up over the small things. Taking advantage of new opportunities that crop up. Limiting failures. Getting unstuck. Staying motivated.
We aren’t very woo-woo. We draw upon our training and expertise in psychology, research, and experiences in our own practices.
And yet, we don’t restrict the resources we draw upon. We gather wisdom from our hearts, eyes and bodies, not just our brains. We teach you how.
We Offer a New Kind of Support
We’ve learned that people do better in community. True collaboration goes beyond show and tell. It’s co-creation, being present together in the moment, that makes us achieve more together than we could separately.
In this program you’ll be with other people doing a similar thing and you will both give and receive support in a way that feels even and balanced.
When we support, we don’t just mean people saying, “You got it, girl!” We go beyond cheerleading and empty affirmations and help you and the group figure how best to support each other, now and into the future.
Your coaches want you to succeed and want to to be heard. You’ll get the full on support from your coaches.
You will not be shushed. You’ll learn how best to support yourself and be able to answer the time-honored question, “is this really serving me?”
What’s Different About This Program
There are a lot of courses out there that you pay a lot of money for, and you don’t always get the results you seek. You don’t finish anything because it takes you a long time to know what that thing is, or you change your mind about your project. Some workshops introduce you to charismatic people but don’t give you any training or tools. Some classes scratch the surface, not enough to make lasting changes. Some courses are really just multi-level marketing schemes. Or maybe there are too many people and you don’t have enough individualized attention.
This program is different. Here Now Next uses proven methods to teach you how to start things, get the support you need, and finish what you start – not just talk about it.
Nina Rubin is a Life Coach with a Gestalt approach (a here and now perspective). Formally trained as a Marriage & Family Therapist, Nina now enjoys working with individuals and groups on projects, self-growth and next steps. Kim Perkins is a doctoral candidate in positive organizational psychology who conducts leadership training for science, tech and arts organizations, large and small. She’s also a writer, coach, Burning Man organizer, and former professional athlete.
FAQ
What projects are right for this program? Do I need to define my project ahead of time?
- No projects are off limits! Or, if you have 5 different projects and can’t choose – you’re still eligible! Don’t worry, that’s one of the things we’ll discuss in a pre-call.
Do I need to attend all the meetings?
- Yes, to get the best results and learn all the tools, you will need to participate in the full program.
Can my friend do this with me?
- Of course! The more the merrier!
Can guys attend?
- Not at this time – but we will be hosting a group for men soon. Stay tuned.
Logistics
- Space is limited to 16 women
- Monthly full group meetings in person in Pasadena
- Weekly full-group support calls
- Accountability partners

- Pre-work before the group begins so we’re all on the same page
Tuition
We personally talk to every woman who wants to participate in the program as part of the registration process. This assures the program is a fit for you – and that we have an opportunity to deeply serve everyone present.
